Brian Hammill, a world class hoop dancer, along with Lane Jensen and wife, Toni Hammill will be performing Saturday, March 11th at 2:00pm in the Sculpture Garden of the Arizona Fine Art EXPO. Brian is a two time Nammy nominee for his music and video recordings. They will be sharing various dances as well as music from the Native American Flute. The hoop dance will be the highlight of the show as Brian Hammill dances with the hoops to tell the intricate stories of life.
Brian is performing his cerimonial dance as a gift to his friend and sculptor, Marie Barbera. She created a spectacular bronze after meeting and watching Brian perform. Marie was touched by his warmth, kindness, strength and energy when she watched his hoop dancing performance for the first time. She was so inspired that she asked his permission to sculpt him and his hoop dancing.
The Arizona Fine Art EXPO is an ongoing event that began Jan 12th and continues running daily from 10am to 6pm through Mar 26th, 2006.
